The Cove Ledge Inn

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to our new web site. The Cove Ledge Inn, located just outside of historical Stonington Borough in the southeastern corner of Connecticut, is a perfect place for your vacation getaway or to celebrate that special occasion. A small but personal inn, we have accommodations that range from private guest homes to luxury suites in our refurbished civil war manse, to efficiency units and motel rooms. We offer the services of a fifty slip boat marina, kayak rentals, a large outdoor pool, plus being close to shopping, antiques, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, and two large casinos. All of this in a peaceful and private setting away from the rush of the crowds.

The manse is majestically perched on the top of a high ledge overlooking Wequetequock Cove, the site where the founding fathers of the area first landed. Two guest rooms with adjoining hydro whirlpool tub baths are available in the manse. Guests can enjoy the library, a beautiful sun room, and a continental breakfast in the kitchen overlooking the five acres of property leading down to the cove. One of the first owners of the property was James Palmer, a first mate under Captain Cutler in the China trade. Palmer introduced Chinese white ducks to the United States and raised them on nearby Oxcasset Creek.

The manse is perfect place for receptions, birthday parties, or small weddings. Fireplaces in the living room, library, and a bedroom make for a cozy winter stay.
